Prof. Colani: Was heist hier rechtzeitig. Es ist in Bau und fahrt in zwei Monaten.

engineer web: Konnen Sie schon etwas mehr verraten?
Prof. Colani: Nein!

engineer web: Das erinnert mich an Ihre etwas altere Fiktion von einem Auto, das mit nur einem Liter Sprit auskommt.


Prof. Colani: Quatsch. Das macht nur das Grosmaul Piech. Der wollte ein 1-Liter-Auto hinkriegen, und schaffte nicht einmal ein 4-Liter-Auto. Das mit dem 3-Liter-Auto, dass stimmt ja gar nicht. Das fahren ein paar Testfahrer mit ausgezogenen Strumpfen barfuss auf leicht abschussiger Strase. Ich habe schon vor neun Jahren im Contidrom mit einer modifizierten viersitzigen Superstromlinien-Karosserie 1,7 Liter bei 80 km/h gefahren. Damals war der Sprit billig. Deshalb hat sich damals kein Schwein drum gekummert.

ingenieurweb: Das hat sich geandert. Sie sind bekanntermasen ein Virtuose der Extreme: Erst haben Sie auf Salzseen in Utah ihre eigenen Geschwindigkeitsweltrekorde gebrochen. Und jetzt wollen Sie demnachst, wie Branchen-Insider munkeln, das hinkriegen, woran die Autokonzerne sich bisher die Zahne ausbeisen - und ein echtes Zwei-Liter-Sparmobil auf die Strase bringen. Auch wieder eine der bekannten Colani-Utopien vom Reisbrett, oder diesmal ein realistisches Spar-Auto, industriell ausgegoren und voll tauglich fur den Verkehrs-Alltag.


Prof. Colani: Absolut. Aber das wurde Ihnen so passen, wenn ich jetzt hintenrum meine intimsten Ateliergeheimnisse hier ausplaudere. Absoluter Spitzen-Cw-Wert, eine Super-Stromlinie, superleicht und wenig Verbrauch. Wir gehen damit, da bin ich mir mit den Japanern einig, eindeutig unter die zwei Liter beim Verbrauch.

ingenieurweb: Ausgefallen leicht - das musste dann eine Kunststoff-Karosserie werden?


Prof. Colani: Das wird  ne Karbon-Karosserie wahrscheinlich, oder Alu, oder Polyester - wir werden sehen.

ingenieurweb: Ihre Kreativitat scheint ja mit wachsendem Alter regelrecht zu explodieren. Wie schafft das ein 73jahriger - auch ein Staatsgeheimnis?


Prof. Colani : Ach wo. Wenig essen, viel ackern, haha, viele schone Frauen, und dadurch gute Inspiration.

ingenieurweb: Woher beziehen Sie nur diese vielen Einfalle. Doch wohl kaum nur aus der Tuchfuhlung mit einer schonen Frau. Gelegentlich auch in der schopferischen Stille mancher "Ortchen ", womoglich auf dem beruhmten Colani-Klo?


Prof. Colani: Fangen Sie mir doch nicht mit diesem Unsinn an! Das Klo, das ist  ne Wucht. Aber Einfalle bekomme ich immer dann, wenn ich etwas Weiches in den Handen habe. Es gibt nur eine Inspirationsquelle fur den richtigen Mann: Das richtige Weib. Natur-pur!

ingenieurweb: Was immer Sie kreieren, es scheint seinen designerischen Sex-Appeal zu beziehen aus Variationen zum Thema Natur-pur, sprich Frau, die sich in allen Flugzeugen und Autos von ihnen wiederfinden


Prof. Colani: Selbst ein Flugzeug oder Auto bezieht seine Inspiration aus dem, was die Hand des Mannes am liebsten beruhrt. Wer diese Motorik, und meine Aufrichtigkeit, nicht versteht, ist ein Tropf. Als Mann bezieht man seine Inspirationen von den weichen Formen der Gegenseite. Und - umgekehrt - die Frau bezieht von den harten Formen ihres Pendants ihre Inspirationen. Sie sehen das am Frauen-Design. Die machen meist "harte " Sachen. Und am Manner-Design, das ganz weiche Formen vorzieht, ganz weich. Ich habe Kunst studiert und kann ein Menschenohr oder einen Menschenarsch wunderbar nachmodellieren - so echt, dass Sie Marmor kussen. Ich bin aber auch Flugingenieur, habe Aerodynamik studiert. Und aus diesem Spannungsfeld zwischen "weicher " Kunst und "beinharter " Aerodynamik-Kalkulation, aus diesen scheinbaren Gegensatzen entsteht, wenn sie miteinander vereint sind, meine Colani-Hochtechnologie fur die Weltrekord-Fahrzeuge, die Ferrari um 100 Stundenkilometer schlagen und alles andere, was sich auf Strase, Schiene, Wasser und Luft bewegt. Unvereinbares miteinander zu vervollkommnen, daraus rekrutiert sich das eigentliche Geheimnis Colani. Das ist TAO pur.

ingenieurweb: Sie werden am 20. September beim Munchner Karrieretag, der Fachmesse fur Fach- und Fuhrungskrafte, gewiss kein Blatt vor den Mund nehmen, was Sie vom heutigen Engineering halten. Nicht sonderlich viel, nehm  ich an.


Prof. Colani: Das ist doch alles uberkanditelt. Alles. Viel zu viel Power, viel zu viel Elektronik, viel zu viel Gewicht. Jeder Ingenieur in so einem Saftladen mochte seine Handschrift an einem Fahrzeug, oder was da gerade gebaut wird, hinterlassen. Daraus entsteht dann ein Ding, das nie aus einem Guss sein kann. Sondern ein Sammelsurium aus vielen Stil-Elementen, die zum Himmel stinken. Kein Auto mehr, wie die seinerzeitigen DS und ID von Citroen, die 25 Jahre lang gebaut wurden, was heute eine Chimare ware, ein Wahnsinnstraum fur die Automobilwelt, genau wie der Mini und der Kafer auch.

ingenieurweb: Und die Stars beim Auto-Mekka IAA 2001 konnen...


Prof. Colani: ...die konnen Sie alle vergessen. Ich hab  gerade vorab einen kleinen so genannten IAA-Star auf dem Hof gehabt. Mir ist physisch schlecht geworden. Ich hab  den ganzen Tag nicht Fressen konnen, als ich gesehen habe, was sich Automobilwerke an Mist erlauben bei einem Sportwagen, bei dem Aerodynamik eigentlich ganz vorne stehen musste.

ingenieurweb: Sie kritisieren eben, jeder Einzelingenieur wolle seine Handschrift im Endprodukt wiedererkennen. Wundert Sie das, wo das Einzel-Talent sich immer mehr ducken und verleugnen muss zugunsten der vergotterten Teamfahigkeit. Ist Anpassungsfahigkeit wirklich wichtiger als individuelle Kreativitat?


Prof. Colani: Dieser Trend ist vollig falsch. Dadurch haben wir ja den Salat, den Team-Salat. Es gibt keine Automobile mehr, wie sie fruher mal z.B. ein Giugiaro und andere mit ihrem ganzen schopferischen Talent sozusagen zur Welt gebracht haben. Heute sitzt an seiner Stelle ein Team von Armani-Anzugtragern mit gepiercedten Ohrlappchen und mit dicken Schnallenschuhen, sie sehen ja, was die zustande bringen. Vor 30 Jahren konnte man einen Ami-Schlitten von einem Italo-Sportster und einem Techno-Germanen auf ein Kilometer Entfernung erkennen. Heute haben die Knopfedrucker mit ihrer Einheitssoftware eine traurige Vermassung verursacht.

ingenieurweb: Uber die Deutschland AG, und den Wirtschaftsstandort Deutschland wird viel geredet, und genau so viel geklagt. Fur die einen sind die "Nieten in Nadelstreifen " die Schuldigen des Desasters. Fur die anderen sind die Deutschen zu einem Volk der Faulenzer erschlafft. "Derek " Horst Tappert meint, sie sind zu bequemen geworden und nehmen sich fur zu wichtig. Wo liegt fur Sie der Hund begraben?


Prof. Colani: Wir ersticken an unserem Reichtum, den unsere Vorvater mal zusammen gekratzt haben. Das erben die Youngsters jetzt, und tun nichts mehr. Durchaus zu Recht. Wenn ich so Millionen auf die Kralle bekame, wurde ich auch mal erst auf  ne Insel fahren, und den Affen machen. Es fehlt einfach an dem optimistischen nach-vorne-Drangen, was noch in den 60er Jahren der 7. Himmel war, das Ziel. Es gab weder Begrenzungen noch Angste, die Welt war einfach offen fur Tatendurstige, und heute ist sie zu; vernagelt. Mobil sind wir nur noch beim Urlaubmachen. Und so einfallsreich, dass wir im Urlaub nur an eines denken - an den nachsten Urlaub. Eines der kreativsten Technik-Lander der Welt ist kaputt. Und daran sind die Nadelgestreiften aus den Vorstandsetagen mit Schuld. Denen rinnt der Kalk aus den Hosen.

ingenieurweb: So alt sind die doch gar nicht mehr...


Prof. Colani: Nein, moglicherweise zu jung sind sie. Die haben keine Erfahrung, machen Kapital am Kapitalmarkt, statt Wertschopfung durch ihre Produkte, haben am Jahresende eine einigermasen korrekte Bilanz, aber ihre Produkte dumpeln im Keller.

ingenieurweb: Wundert sie das, wenn - Hauptsache jung - 50/55jahrige hoch erfahrene Ingenieure mir-nix-dir-nix einfach nach Hause oder in den Vorruhestand geschickt werden...


Prof. Colani: Am liebsten wurde ich mir die alle wegpflucken, diese 50/55jahrigen Hochkarater und wurde mit denen ein Fruhrentner-Team aufmachen. Damit konnten wir alle anderen in den Sack stecken.

ingenieurweb: Was raten Sie jungen Leuten, und Berufseinsteigern.


Prof. Colani: Die sollen auf die Strase gehen, und eine Revolution anzetteln, gegen samtliche Eseleien, die sich Politik, Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft leisten. Ich komm  dann mit meinem 2-Liter-Auto dazu.

Jetzt ist es offiziell: Weltburger und Stardesigner Luigi Colani will sich des  ildparks II fur Karlsruhe annehmen. KSC-Prasident Detlef Dietrich konnte den Sensations-Coup lange unter dem Deckel halten, doch der Druck ist zwischenzeitlich so hoch, dass der Kessel an allen Ecken und Enden leckt.

Karlsruhe. Der 72-jahrige Colani, der zeitweise in Karlsruhe wohnt, ist Idol und Vorbild gleich mehrerer Designergenerationen. Autos, Motorrader, Flugzeuge, Toiletten, Computermause oder ganze Kongresszentren - Colanis kreative Power machte bisher vor nichts halt. Und nun der  ildpark II 

Noch hat auserhalb des KSC niemand den Entwurf gesehen, doch soll Colanis Studie eine sensationelle Dachkonstruktion enthalten, die dem Wildpark ohne nennenswerte Anderungen an der Haupttribune ein schliesbares Dach beschert. Damit allein gibt sich der Meister jedoch nicht zufrieden. Mit Hilfe einer  olani-Brucke uber den Adenauerring mochte der Kunstler  rucken schlagen zu den anderen Vereinen  rund ums Wildparkgelande einen lebendigen Anziehungspunkt fur die Jugend schaffen, der vollig in Landschaft und Natur integriert ist.


Ganz nebenbei entstunde fur 60 bis 80 Millionen Mark in Karlsruhe ein Gesamtkunstwerk von internationaler Bedeutung. Und das obendrein noch stark subventioniert. 30 Millionen Mark der Sportwelt AG liegen bereit, freilich unter der Vorgabe, die Stadt moge sich mit weiteren 20 Millionen beteiligen. Den Rest will der KSC mit privaten Sponsoren abdecken.

Dietrich bestatigte gestern morgen, dass es Kontakte zu Colani gebe. Allerdings hange das Engagement des Stardesigners noch von einigen Bedingungen ab, die einer Klarung bedurften.  um Beispiel mussten wir noch zusatzliche Sponsoren aus der Region finden  sagte der KSC-Boss. Schon heben die ersten Zweifler die Hand. Wenn das Modell eines Pfalzer Architekten schon 600.000 Mark verschlang, was kostet dann erst das Modell eines Stardesigners?

 omentan ist Colani so angetan von der Idee, dass ihm sein Honorar vollig zweitrangig erscheint  erzahlt Dietrich, der hochstpersonlich die Verbindung uber eine gute Bekannte hergestellt hat.
