There are many cherry trees in Hitachi.
People enjoy looking at the beautiful cherry blossom in early April.
The cherry trees along "Heiwa-dori"(Heiwa Street) are lit up
at night while they are in full bloom, Also, this street is
only for pedestrians during "Sakura-matsuri"(the cherry festival).
